Use the softest types of wood that you can find and the ones with the least amount of grain possible; aspen and pine are fantastic examples as they burn more readily and easily than harder woods. Find a multitude of free wood-burning designs online or at your local home supply or project store. Always place your sandpaper on solid and steady wood blocks to avoid improperly marking any areas when blueprinting. Wood-burning tools help with the designs and are always preferred to DIY methods without instructions or a wood-burning kit. Don’t force your wood-burning pen as it may lose its tips with forced hot pressure.
