Why Should I Clean My Air Ducts?

Air Duct Cleaning Tulsa OK is our specialty for homes, hospitals and commercial HVAC systems.
  • Improved Indoor Air Quality
  • Boost in Energy Savings

In a typical single family home, there is up to 40 pounds of dust is created annually through everyday living. This dust contains many allergens such as dust mites, pet dander, pollen, mildew and mold.

These contaminants are pulled into the HVAC system and re-circulated many times per day. Consequently, this re-circulation causes a build-up of contaminants in the duct work. Build-up can clog the system causing it to run inefficiently.

Contaminants within your HVAC system can cause serious problems for people with respiratory health conditions, autoimmune disorders and some environmental allergies.

Build-up in your HVAC system will cause it to work harder and shorten the life of your system. Even the best air filters available to consumers cannot block all contaminates from entering the system. The heating and cooling system still gets dirty over time through normal everyday use.

Be smart. Help reduce your energy bill by cleaning your HVAC system every 5 years. Cleaning air ducts frequently also helps to reduce allergens and other indoor air pollutants. Keep your air clean. Always replace air filters on a regular basis.

Signs Your Air Ducts Need To Be Cleaned:

  • A fine layer of dust consistently covers furniture.
  • System is not providing adequate air flow.
  • Occupants experience allergy symptoms indoors.
  • Runny eyes or nose, sneezing or congestion.
  • Visible signs of mold or mildew on registers.
  • We offer video inspections of your air ducts.

What Is The Cleaning Process?

Our air duct cleaning process involves 3 steps: Duct Cleaning, Detailed Furnace Cleaning, Sanitizing HVAC System.

STEP ONE: Duct Cleaning

First, technicians will clean each duct individually. Our Tulsa air duct cleaning technicians will bring 2 hoses into your home. After removing all registers, your tech will feed one small line down the duct work. This hose runs to the furnace. Each hose has it’s own function in the cleaning process.

The small 3/8″ hose blasts compressed air into the duct to loosen contaminates from all sides.

The second larger 8″ inch hose uses extreme suction to vacuum all loosened debris directly from the duct. Debris enters collection bags located on the Pringle truck. This process is repeated for all supply registers in the home. It is important to make sure our technicians have unobstructed access to all registers. Before technicians arrive, make sure heavy furniture has been moved.

STEP TWO: Detailed Furnace Cleaning

Next, a technician will clean the furnace. We will clean all furnace parts including: supply air plenum, return air plenum, heat exchanger, blower motor; housing & assembly, evaporator coil, drain and pan.

STEP THREE: Sanitizing All Components of the HVAC System

Last, a tech will sanitize the system. Sanitation is an important step in the cleaning process. Our Tulsa air duct cleaning technicians will take every precaution when sanitizing your air ducts. We use a category IV product, Envirocon, registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Category IV product is the lowest toxicity rating currently available on the market.

What is Envirocon?
Envirocon works as a deodorizer, bacteriostat and fungistat. It works throughout the entire system to kill any spores on contact that might be left clinging to the duct work. Product will dissipate from your HVAC system within 2 hours. There are no long term exposure to be concerned about.

What is Soot Sealing?

Soot Sealing helps to rid your home or business of long term build-up of soot, dust, pollen and other fine particles. We use a specifically developed clear coating designed to bond smoke, dust, pollen or other fine particles to metal, wood or other surfaces. A single application can seal in troublesome fine particles preventing them from being air-borne.
